A snippet of "Echo Park"


Echo Park, for those who dont know, are my brothers band. They played at the Cavern Club a couple of weeks back, and I managed to grab a short snippet of a video of them doing a cover of 'Love the way you lie'. The band mainly do their own stuff (http://www.myspace.com/echo-park) but this is a pretty decent cover - just a shame I didn't manage to get the whole thing on my rubbish camera.

I HAVE WELL JUST GONE AND PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!



I've not blogged in a few weeks due to the amount of coursework that I've been swimming in, and the amount of deadlines I've been trying to meet - many of them I have actually missed :P But I'm super happy that this is my next post. Feel a massive weight has been taken off my shoulders, and I am officially road legal for the rest of my lifeeeeeeeeeee :))) - well, unless I have my license taken off me, which I don't plan on letting happen. Eeepps, SO HAPPY :)))

Watch out drivers, Nomes is on the road!

Made up!

LUCY EVANS GETS A DATE.
Call me sad, but being a HUGE Take Me Out fan, this was more than worthy of a post!

For those of you who know me, you'd understand this more than those who dont. BUT. OH YES, Lucy Evans landed herself a date with Dave from Essex after being in the show for 12 weeks running. From day one, I have had absolute love for this girl. I know everyone hates her because she's desperate - which may be a little true! But I think she's hilarious. And she's obviously pretty. So whilst the whole of facebook and twitter slag her off, I'm genuinely made up. She made good TV! Now she's gone, I think the only reason I'm watching the show now is for Paddy - what a man!

This is probably the point where I go down in people's estimations. But I genuinely have lots of love for Justin Bieber. Gutted he's not on the V Festival Line-up and also HATE that all the tickets for his tour have sold out. Massive love for the boy!
 
THE WOMBATS are absolutely amazing live. I went with Lu to see them last night at Manchester Academy and loved it. It was their first night of their 2011 tour and they were supported by Zen Arcade (@ZenArcade on twitter) and Get People (@GetPeople on twitter). Potentially one of the pushiest crowds I've been in for a long time - got completely squished and at one point half the crowd fell over, haha. It was so boss listening to them combine a lot of their old and well-known stuff with tracks from their new album - 'This Modern Glitch'. Stunning album.

Cannot wait to see them again at V FESTIVAL.

Another reason why yesterday was such an amazing day. I GOT MY TICKET. Weekend camping involving lots of dancing with the girls, Eminem, Rhianna, The Saturdays, Arctic Monkeys, Chase And Status, Example, Tinie Tempah ... ahh loads! :)

I am a very lucky girly, and this Summer is going to be AMAZING.

A beautiful gift! :)

Yesterday I went over to Liverpool to look at uni for the millionth time. As I've confirmed and felt the need to take a day off, I thought I would go again to their applicant day - which was basically a repeat of every other open day I've been to at LJMU :P But it was a really good day out with my mum and it was so lovely to see some of my lovely family...

... particularly the beautiful new addition: my baby cousin, Poppy:

I miss Veggietales!

V Festival 2011

So last night the V Festival Line up 2011 was announced, and my life, its AMAZING. Fingers crossed I manage to get my ticket on Friday. With the announced acts, I have a strong feeling the phone lines are going to be crazier than usual!
