The TRUE meaning of Easter.

STOP and THINK!

It's Easter. Forget about the chocolate and focus on the true meaning, because this is serious. It is so easy for us to sometimes forget or ignore what Christ has done for us, but just take this chance to Stop and Think. Do you know Jesus? Do you understand what the real meaning of Easter is?

Easter is a time to remember the greatest sacrifice that has ever been made throughout the whole of history. It is a sacrifice that was made by our loving Father, who sent His Son Jesus into the world to save sinners. We have all sinned and fallen short of God's glory. We are far from perfect and ,as sinners, we are destined for hell. A place of pain and torture. A place without God. Growing up, I was always told to imagine the worst place you could ever possibly think of. Imagine that, but a billion times worse. That is hell. It amazes me how many people can hear this and fail to understand the effect that this has on their life, or how people can choose to ignore it because of the 'inconvenience' they feel it will bring on their lives. Hell is not a joke. If you are a sinner who is lost and without Jesus, then that is where you will find yourself for all eternity. Scary thought, right? But this doesn't have to be the case ...

You can be saved from hell.

God sent His One and Only Son into the world to save us from our sins. He, an innocent man, died an unimaginable death. He willingly went to the cross and held the weight of all our sin, just so we can know freedom and live in forgiveness, with His Father for all of eternity.

I've posted this video before, back in October. But watch it and try and understand just a glimpse of what our Lord has done for us!

Christ saved us so we can know Him. But in order to do so, you need to repent of our sin, asking God for forgiveness and thanking Him for paying that price for us, and you need believe that He is the Son of God. Being a Christian isn't easy, and we still sin. I still sin. But we can be be confident in Our Saviour, knowing he paid the price that we deserved to pay. He took our sin, and put it on Himself. By His grace we can be saved. All we need to do is believe.

So if you are reading this, and you don't know Jesus, ask yourself why? No matter who you are - young, old, rich or poor etc. - you can know Him. I can guarantee that until you know Him as your personal Saviour, you cannot truly understand true happiness.

Christ saved me, and I can now confidently say that this is true of me:

'I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.'

Can you say it is true of you?

A must watch...

'Love is fragile. And we're not always its best caretakers.
We just muddle through and do the best we can.
And hope this fragile thing survives against all odds.'

Okay, so it would be safe to say that I am your typical girl. I absolutely adore chick flicks. But today I watched 'The Last Song', a film that stars Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth, Greg Kinnear and Bobby Coleman. I have been waiting to watch this film for ages, but it was definitely worth the wait.

If you don't know, this film is a drama centered on a girl called Ronnie, who is sent to stay with her father over the Summer. I don't want to ruin it for you, so that's as much as I'm going to say. hehe. But there is a lot of romance and it will, no doubt, make you shed some tears.

Again, being a typical me, I have to post this video up. This is a stunning piano piece that is created by Ronnie and her father in the film. It's an emotional piece that was originally composed by Aaron Zigman, and the title of the piece is 'Steve's theme'.
