A Battle.

Today I went on a trip to Bosworth as part of our history AS course. Considering I did my AS levels last year, it was the most pointless trip in the history of pointless trips, but I went anyway because the rest of my A2 class were going and because I fancied a day of no lessons.

I'm not going to bore you with the facts about what we learnt, purely because I don't actually remember and because its boring. I have to say, I was more interested in the life size Henry VIII model - which I did get a picture with, but I'm not going to put it up because I look like I'm being strangled in it :P But it was pretty cool all the same.

During part of the day, I got picked on (as I always do!) and got dressed up in some of the armour that the soldiers would've worn during the Battle of Bosworth (I included a link for those history geeks who want to know what it's all about!) Definitely a happy girly that I don't have to wear it more often - way too heavy and I certainly don't have the muscles to wear it without wanting to collapse!

But reflecting on my day, I thought it would be appropriate to blog up a verse of encouragement relating to a much greater battle!

'It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand sustains me; you stoop down to make me great.'
- Psalm 18:32-35
